Geocache Description:

WARNING:  Please be very careful on the trail as it is not uncommon to come across venemous snakes in the area!!!

The followng series of caches are being placed along one of the more interesting streaches of the Hume and Hovell walking track.  The trail around the Henry Angel camping ground passes through some of the old gold mining sites in the Tumbarumba area.  You will come across some of the old mining equipment and also see where the creek has been diverted, sometimes through solid rock, in order to assist with the mining operations.

Our intentions are to place a number of caches along the trail to encourage more people to get out and see more of this great country of ours.  this will be a slow process over the next few years.  Please feel free to bring a spare cache with you, when you decide to do the trail, and place it within 180 and 220 meters of the last cache on the trail, this might ensure the trail grows quickly.

The hints for these caches are fairly specific in order to really assist you in finding the cache so please have a good look before refering to the hint.
