The Tokachi Trains series of geocaches have been hidden to commemorate steam trains...because steam trains are awesome! And of all the steam locomotives preserved nation-wide, a quarter of them are in Hokkaido!
新得町の北には、大体５０年提示されている根室本線に走ったD5195という汽車と石炭輸送車が残っています。
この汽車は1938年3月に製造され、全国各地（新潟、松本、釧路、滝川など）で運用されていました。ついに1974年に引退し、新得町の古い閉線路の一部に展示されました。
This locomotive was built in March 1938 and operated in various places around the country (Niigata, Matsumoto, Kushiro, Takigawa, etc). It was finally retired in 1974 and and displayed on a section of old closed track in Shintoku town.
