Geocache Description:

It is true that I don't get out geocaching as often as I'd like due to the fact that, like so many others, I spend 40 hours a week at my daily grind. I work as a laboratory technician conducting microbiology experiments, and usually get put on the weirdest projects that come into our lab. I have attempted to kill bacteria using lasers, electrocution and stool softeners. THESE ARE ALL TRUE STORIES. Work is never boring! When I'm at the bench slogging through petri dishes full of bacteria, I find myself thinking about geocaching. Different containers used in lab work actually lend themselves well to caching; that's exactly what inspired this multi cache. There are no tricks here, just three legs comprised of different containers that we use in the lab and a final that is a camouflaged biological shipping container. The first leg is also special to me as, in addition to incorporating a lab supply, it also honors a humble critter to which much scientific research is heavily indebted. Starting swag here is modest; a stuffed animal representation of mad cow disease (my favorite and the very reason why I went into biology in the first place), two spare lab containers that I thought might come as inspiration to someone, and the world's tiniest beaker. The log book features an electron micrograph that I took awhile back of one of the organisms that I work with. Happy caching! Oh and as usual, I feel the need to warn all cachers that hunting is allowed in this park. Hike safely! * * * * * * * * * * This cache has been properly permitted by Darien Lakes State Park (permit number 19-002DL).
