Lumsden is a lovely little town in Northern Southland that has become quite popular with the introduction of freedom camping.
One of the attractions here is the Round the Mountains Cycle trail - an easy ride can be had from Kingston to Lumsden (heading the other way does give you more uphills!). This cache is placed near the start of the trail just out of Lumsden. My GPS was bouncing a little when I checked the coordinates but it shouldn't be hard to find. Take a walk along the trail if you don't have a bike and enjoy the scenery and the peace and quiet Northern Southland has to offer.
