Rowntree's renamed their chocolate treat "Smarties Chocolate Beans" in 1937, which was later shortened to the name we now know.
Smarties come in eight colours: red, orange, blue, green, yellow, pink, violet and brown.
The US candy called Smarties are sold in Canada as Rockets.
I couldn't resist; several smarties were consumed during the production of this cache.
