La Torre Unicredit
La Torre Unicredit è un grattacielo ubicato nel Centro direzionale di Milano. Con i suoi 231 metri di altezza alla guglia è uno degli edifici più alti d'Italia dopo l'Antenna RAI di Caltanissetta (286 metri) e la ciminiera della centrale termoelettrica di Porto Tolle (250 metri). Realizzata nell'ambito Progetto Porta Nuova, si trova a ridosso di corso Como e della stazione di Porta garibaldi. Sovrasta piazza Gae Aulenti, una piazza pedonale rialzata di circa sei metri sul livello della strada.
Divenuto ben presto un simbolo di Milano, grazie soprattutto al suo imponente Spire l'edificio ha una forma estremamente sinuosa. Presenta una facciata a nord completamente vetrata e una a sud modulata dalle linee orizzontali dei frangisole per una più corretta irradiazione solare. È stata inaugurata l'11 febbraio 2014 dai vertici del gruppo bancario, nonché da importanti personalità politiche quali l'allora presidente del consiglio Enrico Letta. Attualmente è sede della direzione generale di UniCredit. Il caratteristico e iconico Spire (la guglia) ha un'altezza di circa 85 metri ed è stato assemblato pezzo per pezzo grazie ad un potente elicottero e ad un gruppo di operai specializzati il 15 ottobre 2011, sotto gli occhi dei molti cittadini riunitisi in vari punti della metropoli per assistere all'operazione. Dal punto di vista strutturale si tratta di una spirale che tende ad assottigliarsi verso l'alto. La sua presenza in posizione eccentrica rispetto al baricentro dell'edificio ha comportato notevoli studi di staticità sull'impatto del vento e degli agenti atmosferici che hanno portato a realizzarlo in acciaio traforato, così da evitare la formazione di ghiaccio.

Unicredit Tower
The Unicredit Tower is a skyscraper located in the business district of Milan. With its 231 meters of height at the spire is one of the tallest buildings in Italy after the Antenna RAI of Caltanissetta (286 meters) and the chimney of the thermal power plant of Porto Tolle (250 meters). Created within the Porta Nuova Project, it is close to Corso Como and Porta Garibaldi station. It overlooks Piazza Gae Aulenti, a raised pedestrian square about six meters above street level.
It soon became a symbol of Milan, thanks above all to its imposing Spire, the building has an extremely sinuous shape. It has a completely glazed north façade and a south façade modulated by the horizontal lines of the sunbreakers for a more correct solar irradiation. It was inaugurated on 11 February 2014 by the top of the banking group, as well as by important political figures such as the then Prime Minister Enrico Letta. It is currently the headquarters of UniCredit's general management. The characteristic and iconic Spire (the spire) has a height of about 85 meters and was assembled piece by piece thanks to a powerful helicopter and a group of skilled workers on October 15, 2011, under the eyes of many citizens gathered in various points of the metropolis to attend the operation. From a structural point of view it is a spiral that tends to thin upwards. Its presence in an eccentric position with respect to the center of gravity of the building has entailed considerable static studies on the impact of wind and atmospheric agents that led to its realization in perforated steel, so as to avoid the formation of ice.
