Geocache Description:

So that these names might not be forgotten. I have placed a medium sized cache here. It has plenty of room for tradable items and a log book and pencil. ⭐⭐⭐Also on a morbid note there were two bodies exhumed from here and the holes never filled. My uncle told me about the man who died in the war. And he was exhumed from Europe and brought home. Then the dad died and when the woman moved she took them with her to Ohio." Was very odd then and still weird as can be now. I wanted to share this with everyone. Be respectful of the place you are visiting. There are no houses near by and night caching is acceptable and encouraged. Please hide the cache back better than you found it . Cell service is nonexhistant. So plan accordingly. Directions: Come in from tenmile go up the stranahan road and once across the bridge take the left then the next right. Not far from there youll come to a gas well. I would if in a smaller 4x4 park there and walk. if you have a car walk from the tenmile ridge road. If you have a 4x4 you might make it. If you go up the hill past the bridge you will come to a locked gate the county road does not go through there anymore. If you come in from cutright Chappell road I do not know how the road is. But you might make it in a 4x4. I do not know for sure. You've been warned. This is in a public cemetery that has not had visitors I would guess in 30 years. My dad and I counted 18 easily visible graves and the two empty holes. The cache to find it look at the two empty holes from the road and to your left is a pine tree that has blown out. In its snag about 6 feet up is the cache. It is big enough for some loot and trackables. ".... Information from the cemetery book of upshur county in the tennerton library. Page 59. Washington DISTRICT-MCCANN CEMETERY. Located on dry ridge between tenmile and beans mill. Read by Beatrice Fultz in 1983 for the upshur county geological society. There are no perminant identifying markers in this cemetery. Field stones are set at the head and foot of most graves. This cemetery is now covered with trees and brush. There is no enclosure. It is almost impossible to calculate the number of burials here, but there must have been at least thirty or more. The bodies of two who were formerly buried here, John Barnett and his son, max ,were exhumed and removed to a new burial site near Warren Ohio. Those known to be buried here include : Demoss, James Nathaniel 1896-1972 metal worker Demoss, louetta w/o James Nathaniel , fultz,Ada d/o hazelet a. And Anna (mccue)Fultz, Fultz, infant d/o Ada, ...Fultz, hazelet Austin april 16,1868-august 15,1924 s/o henry and amanda ,... fultz, john s/o hazelet and anna (mccue) fultz.... Fultz,Mae d/o hazelet and anna (mccue)fultz,...tenney,infant c/o coleman,... pugh(?) Daughter in law of Ellen (McMahon)Pugh and last (?) .grandchild of Ellen mcmahon)pugh " end of documentation. Let these who are known not be forgotten. Please Be respectful while your there.
