This cache has been archived.

ZacharyKZH: It was a fun little experiment, but this will have to go. Hopefully, someone can fill this spot with a nicer cache

Geocache Description:

This is a short multi-cache in the historic Civic District that brings you into the recently refurbished Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall. Please note that the first stage is only available between 10 am - 9 pm daily!

The Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall (VTCH) is Singapore’s oldest performing arts venue. Gazetted as a national monument on 14 February 1992, the VTCH comprises two blocks of building constructed more than 43 years apart, in 1862 and 1905, and joined by a clock tower. The present theatre and concert hall were originally known as the Town Hall and Victoria Memorial Hall respectively. Historically, both were used for functions ranging from public events and political meetings to musical and stage performances.

In June 2010, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall were closed for major renovations. The refurbishment repaired and updated the buildings to meet contemporary standards. The façade of the buildings is retained, and some elements belonging to the original 1905 structure restored. This includes reinstating the central passageway between the theatre and the concert hall, which leads to the Arts House However, the theatre now seats fewer people – about 600 from some 900 before – with the older, narrower seats were replaced by wider ones.

The published coordinates will bring you to the main Atrium of the VTCH. Enjoy the view of the clock-tower and the classical columns that line the two buildings on either side of the Atrium.

Once you are done taking in the views, search for what remains of the old wooden seats of the Victoria Theatre and solve the puzzle below to get the final coordinates. Good luck!
