The field gateway at Yarde Cross offers a fantastic views of the rolling North Devon countryside. Red deer frequently visit the area. Other local wildlife include foxes, badgers and birds of prey.
The cache can also be accessed easily from the road, as a cache and dash. Traffic along the Goodleigh road can travel very fast, if you are doing a cache'n dash then it might be safer to temporarily park a little way down the lane that leads to Stoke Rivers. Any parking nearby should be temporary and please don't block gateways and access roads, as even the old ones are in use. There are opportunities to turn round further down the Stoke Rivers lane if needed. Be aware this location is near several active working farms, all roads therefore can be suprisingly busy, with farm vehicles. Take care to supervise children and pets.
The cache is a small camo clip lock box with log and a few swaps. Please replace carefully.
