All caches in the CREW are placed within a few feet of the trails. Please take notice of your surroundings. Wildflowers are abundant. April is the peak of the wildflower season but you can find something blooming there any time of the year. Snakes and poison ivy are also present!
This is a wet walk. During the wet season and sometimes, even the dry season, the White Trail is under water, as deep as 1-2 feet of water. The trail may be very wet and muddy.
The Hibagon is Japan’s version of Bigfoot. Hibagon lives in the forested mountainous areas near Mt. Hiba. The hibagon is much smaller than Bigfoot, standing about five feet tall. Hibagon footprints can be 10 inches long and 6 inches wide. He is said to be foul smelling and ugly.
Thanks to Jessi Drummond and the staff at CREW for allowing us to use the CREW trails for geocaching.
