A brunch event between 10:00am & 11:00am at the Grouse & Claret, Rowsley to celebrate the unofficial holiday Star Wars Day. This is likely to be a small gathering with the opportunity for geochat as well as the chance to discover & swap trackables. There is a large car park on site, which should be ample. We will be seated in the conservatory, which is to the left as you come through the main entrance. You do not need to eat in order to attend the event, but food from the Brunch Menu will be available & we have negotiated complimentary tea & coffee for those eating.
There will be a live performance of the Bith Cantina Band & all being well, the event will coincide with the publication of our new puzzle cache at 11:00am.
This will be our first time hosting an event. We realise that it is a working day for most, but unfortunately this is not a moveable feast & BlLbo is unavailable for the evening. If this is successful, the idea is to repeat it next year on the Saturday, catering to a wider audience.
Rowsley is the SE gateway to the Peak District & a great base from which to explore the area. There are already several geocaches in the vicinity of the event, including some of our own, so if you haven't found them all it may be worth planning a visit after brunch.
Whether you are a seasoned intergalactic event-goer or this will be your very first, all are welcome. Please indicate in advance if you plan to attend & it would be helpful if you could let us know if you are going to eat so that we can inform the venue. We look forward to seeing you there!
