There is no "Resting" here for K-Pom Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

DougyB: This series of 43 caches was put out to entice Kathy (K-Pom) to make some diversions from her daily commute across Highway 7 in order to do something she loved – geocaching. It was placed for fun, but also to honour a effervescent member of our caching community.

Sadly for us, Kathy left this earthly realm in April of this year. After much consideration, I have decided to archive this series, in part to free up space so that others may place more caches. I will be by over the coming weeks to collect the containers and log sheets.

I was very happy that Kathy was able to find all of these caches and that they brought many smiles to her face. Both Kathy and I loved all of the comments that were posted over the last 3+ years. Thanks to everyone who visited these caches.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

K-Pom really enjoys combining her passion for Geocaching with exploring cemeteries. Hopefully you will too!

Please note that you will be required to wander around this cemetery to gather information in order to find the final cache. Plese be respectful when searching for the information you need.  Please only be at the cemetery during daylight hours - no night caching!  And note that the final is not located on the cemetery property.

You will find yourself at Glenview Memorial Gardens.  Inside the cemetery are 7 way points where you will gather information in order to calculate the final location of the cache.  Each of the way points is at something belonging to the memorial gardens - there are not any containers etc. to find in the cemetery.  PLEASE DO NOT POST PICTURES OF THE ITEMS AT THE WAYPOINTS. Once you have gathered the information and done the work, you can find the final a short walk or drive away from the cemetery.

Stage 1 - The Garden of ?

At Stage 1 you will find a rock with the words "The Garden of ___" etched in it.  How many letters are in the word etched in all CAPITAL letters?  This is A.

Stage 2 - Stone Art

At Stage 2 you will encounter a large stone sculpture in a bricked-off garden area. Take a look all sides of the stone. How many sides have the image of an angel? B is equal to the number of sides with the etching of an angel.

Stage 3 - Community Section

At Stage 3 you will come to a sign identifying this as a Community Section. C is the digital root of the 3rd word on the sign.

(For the Chris Bakers of the caching world, you may want to look up a "geocaching toolbox" for solving the "digital root of a word")

Stage 4 - Malton Masjid

At Stage 4 you will see a phrase etched in green on the rock. Determine the most frequently used letter in the phrase. Subtract the value of that letter (A=1, B=2, etc.) from the frequency of the letter to determine D.

Stage 5 - Wooden Structure

At Stage 5 is a wooden structure. Count the total number of wooden benches in this structure to determine E.

Stage 6 - Fu-Kien Memorial Garden

At Stage 6 stands a large sign depicting an archway found in many large cities. How many Imperial Guardian Lions are protecting this sign? The answer is F.

Stage 7 - Garden of ??

At Stage 7 you will find a sign with the words "The Garden of ___" in it. How many letters are in the word in all CAPITAL letters? This is G.

For N43: 45.562 + .BEA
For W079: 36.181 + F.CGD

You can check your answers using the link below. If you are correct you will also be given a clue for the final hide.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
