Briar Fire Lookout Tower Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

pscwmoms: Well it’s gone again.
I’m done replacing this one. The last Cacher wrote me the hollow log was gone too.

You have been a good cache spot. I hope someone places a cache here in the future.

I would like to have this page stay accessible when searching archived caches.

Happy Hunting!!😀🐸😀🐸😀

Geocache Description:

If you come this far you need a reason.  To see this tower is a good reason and two geocaches are just extra.  This is the second cache it's an ammo can back out of the way in a log.  I left it so you could grab it with a tool or stick in case wildlife moves it with it.

Look on the internet for more information on Fire towers.

It was a wonderful spring day as we walked around the tower. I spied the place for the cache. Decided how it should be in its hiding spot. There is a photo if you want to look before you find. Did you see the bench mark in the concrete under the tower? It's there and I'm sure it will be list in the near this cache links at the bottom of the page. I once sent a friend up this tower. We needed a look at a fire and she was available. Singmom (in the geocaching world) she when right up with her radio in hand. Reported back on the smoke. She is a wild land fire dispatcher and is so good at this job she went on to be a supervisory dispatcher. Years later we both have meet on western on fires. Now that she is retired she still helps out with the fire season out west by dispatching. Fire gets in our blood and stays there. I hope you like the tower it's part of living history that we still use. :)
