A quick and easy cache but I do encourage walking around the village, even if it's just up the hill to find cache #1 in this series.
The small village of Vavatsinia has no geocaching love, this series aims to fix that! Vavastinia has around 85 permanent residents who make a living mostly on agriculture. It is a short 10 km drive from Lefkara. Approaching Vavatsinia you notice the changing geography: going from white to red soil littered with pine trees.
The square is the heart of the village of Vavastinia. The locals often meet for coffee and a game of badgammon at the coffee house under the shade of the pine tree, which predates the main church (St. George’s) just up the steps. The village butcher, dairy, postboxes and one of the traditional village taverns ‘Takis’ are all a few footsteps away from the square.
The cache is a plastic container with a yellow top.
