“Somehow Market Square lies at the center of all that makes Knoxville individual. It is more than a market. It’s the city’s showplace to exhibit to visitors, but it is also something fixed – born – in the Knoxville mind.” — Ruth Naomi Scott, Knoxville Journal, August 25, 1929

⠀
Market Square is a popular mall with shops and some of my favorite restaurants all in one area. It also hosts several festivals throughout the year and a local farmers market on Saturdays during the summer. Finding this cache on these busy days can be difficult and parking can be even harder. Non-festival weekdays are best for this one. Hundreds of people walk by these three monuments daily without paying any attention to them. The purpose of this multi is to help highlight the history that is often overlooked.
⠀
This is an easy two-stage multi. The monumets and the final can be heavily occupied by muggles at certain times, so please be stealthy when looking for the final cache. To find the final location, you will find information from three places: the Tennessee Woman Suffrage Memorial, the Market House Bell, and the Market House historical marker. The coordinates take you to the first two, and the historical marker is on the other side of the grassy area. Figure out the variables and plug them into this set of coords: N35 57.ABC W83 55.DEF
