My dad and I decided to create this cache after finding two of Bounce, Bounce's travel bug hotels in Bellevue (GC6G34Z and GC6ZR1H). We were inspired by the creativity that he put into them, and they significantly improved our geocaching experience. We want to provide that to others as well.
This cache is a quick and easy multi with two virtual waypoints. You must go to the posted coordinates to read a sign about trees in the park, which contains the number of cavity-dependent species that use snags. This number will be the first two digits of the combination lock.
At the second waypoint, about 50 feet away from the first, you will read a sign about the park and find a 4 digit number that will be used for the final two digits of the combination. You will only need the last two digits of the number.
Then, head to the final location to find the geocache. It is a wooden birdhouse hanging from a tree. You will need to use the previously found numbers to get inside of the birdhouse. Once you open the lock, to get the birdhouse open, pull on the door that the lock is hanging on. Please do not push in on the black circle in the front of the house.
We will leave 3 trackables to start. Make sure when you put the lock back on, you leave the combination part facing forward, to make it easier for other cachers to put in the combination. Happy caching!
🎉 Congrats to 2nd1of3 for being FTF! 🎉
