Welcome to Carlisle Reservation, the largest park of the Lorain County Metro Parksencompassing 1,917 acres when included with Forest Hills Golf Course which lies at the northeastern end. Carlisle Reservation also offers a large variety of events and activities throughout the year, and is home to the administrative offices for the entire park system. From Holiday Lights to horseback riding to stargazing, Carlisle Reservation is a place you’ll want to get to know better. While you're here stop by the Raptor Center and check out the birds of prey!

This cache has been placed with permission and is part of the Back Roads and Beaches 2.0 Geo Trail in Lorain County. This geotrail is an extension of our original Back Roads and Beaches trail launched in 2014. It will take you along rolling, rural roads with beautiful scenery that ranges from farmland and forest to the nautical flavor of the Lake Erie shoreline.
