Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of caches on the Cape Falcon trail system.  For more details, please see 10 - Matia Geodog Goes to Cape Falcon.

This late entry in the series is a Multi-Cache in honor of the fantastic caching team of jewilk1 and OmNom!.

Parking is just a bit further up the road from 1 - Fly Tracks Goes to Cape Falcon.

The multi starts very close to the trailhead for this section and then makes a short detour on an exceptionally beautiful side branch of the Oregon Coast Trail.  Shortly after passing the second bridge, watch for the side trail turnoff for "Parodice Gardens".

Stage One, at the posted coordinates, features a wonderful suspension bridge.

I have had the good fortune to have found numerous caches placed by the tributees and have learned that they do not suffer from gephyrophobia, the fear of bridges, as many of their hides can be found under pedestrian bridges of the Willamette Valley.

Thus, Stage One starts off with that theme.  But...the ubiquitous bridge troll who lives here is on vacation nearby.  Your job is to find him!

He has left you a clue:  As you walk across the suspension bridge, count the number of perpendicular slats along the surface of the bridge.  These slats are just about a short step apart and were no doubt placed to keep you from slipping as you cross the bridge.  Be careful - if you answer incorrectly, you will be pitched over the side of the bridge into the river!

Add 33 to the number of slats to get XX.

Add 38 to the number of slats to get YY.

Stage Two is at:

N 45 48.0XX

W 123 57.5YY

At Stage Two, you will find a very easy puzzle that will get you to Stage Three.  Use reading glasses?  You might be glad to have them!

Dovregubben, the previously-mentioned vacationing bridge troll, awaits at Stage Three, which is the Final.  Also at the final location, take time to appreciate the incredible leaning cedar tree just up the nearby hill.

Satellite reception is limited here, so be sure to use the hints for Stages Two and Three!

Enjoy...and please let me know if you encounter any problems!
