Balsio ežero regykla / apžvalgos aikštelė yra vienas iš variantų pradėti pažintį su vietine gamta. Balsio ežero plotas 55 ha, ilgis – maždaug 2 km, didžiausias plotis apie 0,5 km, krantų ilgis – daugiau nei 5 km, didžiausias gylis 38,8 metrai. Visais metų laikais ežero vanduo būna ryškiai žalias, net ir po ledu. Todėl ežeras ir vadinamas Žaliuoju. Ežerą maitina požeminiai vandenys, kuriuose gausu ištirpusių karbonatų. Jie ne tik nudažo vandenį žaliai, bet ir kaupiasi ežero dugne. Pietinėje ežero pakrantėje įrengtas vilniečių pamėgtas paplūdimys. Aplink ežerą driekiasi vaizdingas 10 km ilgio pėsčiųjų ir dviračių takas.
