Ragwort pulling at Hucclecote Meadows 10:00 – 12:00
Friday the 13th July
Parking: There is some on street parking opposite the reserve on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby).
Where: We will meet in the meadows (published co-ordinates).
What: Although valuable for insects, ragwort is toxic to livestock and spreads if left unchecked. Our annual ragwort pulling of the fields has seen the numbers of plants present dramatically reduce. Join us pulling ragwort in the meadows.
How: Felicity the Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and gloves, please bring your own if you prefer.
Health and Safety: Please wear long sleeves and trousers as the sap can cause irriation. All health and safety rules apply. Children will need supervision and pets kept under control.
