Geocache Description:


The cache is located in Kibbutz Maabarot, at the end of path that takes you to the museum of Maabarot. You should park near the museum sign.

The kibbutz is located in Emek (valley) Heffer, at the edge of the ALEXANDER RIVER. Its members came from "Young Guard" movement of Romania and Bulgaria. They stayed in Haifa, in Kibbutz C, for 8 years. In 1933 they moved to Wadi Hawaerta. The Kibbutz is a cooperative Kibbutz, which has not been privatized. The kibbutz is known today by its food factory - Maabarot TRIMA.

In 1966 they discovered a cemetery from the middle Bronze age, under the place they wanted to built a museum.
