This cache is not accessible from the trail, you will need a boat to get to it. I do not believe it is possible to wade to this one, the water is very deep after the shoreline. Because it is dangerous to dock upriver of a large tree, where the current will pin you against, the cache is on the South side of the beacon.It's not even very far out.
You can park to the North or to the East and carry in. If you want to bring a powered boat, there is a boat launch just to the South. Do not try to launch to the North, as there is a dam up there and you will not be able to safely pass it. BYOP.
