Geocache Description:

This is by no means my original idea, I just happen to really like the paintings I have been brought to around town with some of these geocaches and it was a bummer I never got to log a find on the original one.

Soooo when I recently seen this one archived I just had to come down and place a fresh container and revive it.

It is probably not nearly as creative a hide as the original but hopefully a long lasting one.

Happy caching

ORIGINAL CACHE PLACED BY 2N's

Original Description for the area:-

This is a sign only cache and must be replaced exactly as found to stop being muggled. Don't forget the pen

Congratulations to Insane.Cache.Posse FTF

This area back in the day was known as Keyatta Park were the Brothers football (soccer) club was based. As time went by the area became derelict and most Townsville kids at the time learnt to ride motor bikes around the tracks created. As time went by the park became a dumping ground and the club rooms covered in graffiti.

It wasn't till the eighties that the lakes were man made to control the flood waters in the local area and beyond. Soon after the lakes were completed housing and a shopping center around the foreshore was built.

On one occasion a Townsville businessman protested that power boats should be allowed on the lakes and to state his protest did a couple of laps water skiing before vanishing into thin air. Still today boats are not allowed on the lakes.

Today the area is utilised by people to fish, picinic, BBQ or just chill out.

Thanks 2N's for bringing a top spot to my attention
