The City of Doral has a dynamic history. On the one hand, a large swath of priceless Everglades was destroyed when Doris and Alfred Kaskel (hence the name “Doral”) purchased the land with the idea of building a golf resort. On the other hand, today Doral is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. As part of city leaders’ efforts to accommodate the recreational needs of the rapidly increasing population, the newly opened Doral Legacy Park was built. Covering close to 20 acres over two main lots connected by an overhead walkway, this park offers something for the whole family, including tennis and basketball courts, football, soccer, and baseball fields, a gym, picnic areas, and more. Now you can come enjoy this park while also earning yourself a geocaching smiley!
