Geocache Description:

Welcome to the 2018 challenge "Cache Me If You Can"! In this series you will be searching for micro-caches. It will be centered around mystical and spooky stories and legends of Pocahontas County. Be sure to write down the letter on each geocache log to get your word at the end, this word will be your proof to finding all 6 caches!

Make sure you stop in the Marlinton Visitors Center to receive your one-of-a-kind commemorative coin!

This entire town has rich history for wars, the first jail in Pocahontas County and much more. There are many tales to tell but one of the most well known is the little girl who still haunts Huntersville today. They say the little girl kicked over a lantern in her home, her mother was the only one not there but the rest of the family didn't make it out alive. She is buried here, and people still see her playing around Huntersville today.
