Geocache Description:

This is my first hide and the first cache in a series of history themed caches that focus on periods and events. This cache is Roman themed and is called Pontem Borealis, latin for the suburb it is hidden in (Northbridge).

The Roman Empire was the largest empire of the ancient world. Its capital was Rome, and its empire was based in the Mediterranean The Empire dates from 27 BC, when Octavian became the Emperor, Augustus, till it fell in 476 AD, marking the end of the Ancient World and the beginning of the Middle Ages, or Dark Ages. It stretched from Britain to Judea and North Africa. The Romans are a very important group within the history of Western Civilisation and it is a very famous ancient civilisation today.

Once you have found the cache, please replace it to the way you had found it. Also take care with the decoration of the cache as it took a while to make.

Happy Caching and look out for more caches in the History Trail.
