At the Northwest tip pf the "Triangle" is a tiny little island. On our paddling practice we would make a short rest stop here before continuing on. This spot always seem to collect a lot of trash brought in by the tradewinds. The reef runway is in view.
Canoe clubs which practice in this area know this location as the "Triangle". You can paddle going clockwise or counter clockwise. It is about 3 to 4 miles around. You can have a downwind, upwind or a crosswind run on either legs of the triangle depending on which way the wind is blowing. Along the way you pass a few neat points of interest.
Tabi's, reefwalkers or other types of shoes are recommended when at GZ,s as there are thorns and sharp rocks and debris.
Be sure to carry some drinking water and check the tides and winds before going out.
