Geocache Description:

PILOT: We always wanted to host a karaoke evening for our geocaching friends in Massachusetts, but we never got around to it. Instead, we'll spearhead a karaoke event here in Boise! This will be my first time hosting an event, so feedback will be important to me.

SUNDAY, JUNE 17th from 9:30-10:30pm! Sorry, I know it's a work night. Must be 21 or over to enter. There is no fee to enter nor "drink minimum," this event doesn't have to cost you a dime, although it'll be up to you to tip the DJ if you stay. The man tending bar here, Shel, (just Sundays) has worked here since 2000 (the year Geocaching was born). He related to me some of the history here, that in 1951 this was a livestock feed and beer selling enterprise (it still is) . They had bowling (Skee-Ball?) and shuffleboard here, the "side bar" next to the pool tables was part of the shuffleboard "court."

There is parking in front of, behind, and across Collister Drive from this establishment. As the karaoke doesn't usually fire up until 10pm, the first 1/2 hour will be ideal for catching up (without shouting) and exchanging trackables.

This location has been ranked #1 or tied for #1 karaoke "Best of Boise" since 2011!

There will be a GEOCACHING-THEMED SONG LIST for those who:
claim "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For,"
refer to themselves as "The Seeker,"
missed FTF because others "Blue Bayou,"
continue to search after causing a "Landslide."
Will not / cannot sing? That's okay, just be sure to cheer on those who do. As a mentor once told me: "Clap like it's you up there (because someday that might be you)." In any case, the idea is to have fun!

Pool tables, TVs, and soft-tipped darts are among the other diversions here. Spacious, fenced-off smoking area outdoors.

By the way, we also revamped the nearby traditional cache GC5PF5H Terry's Bridge (CO previously Zumby) to best reinforce the karaoke theme. From here, it's basically a Park-'N'-Grab: (visit link)

If this event "succeeds," we'll try to do it again. Plus, if we can line up regular singers to attend the next one, we might be able to begin the event 30 minutes earlier. Food for thought.
