Geocache Description:


Frank (Gasper) Silvia was a city council member for many years. And was seen handing out food to those in need. When the current mayor Tom Hoye spoke of him, he spoke of his good demeanor calling him a nice guy. "Having lived in an orphanage for a short time seemed to keep him connected to struggling children and families."said his daughter. So a bridge was constructed with his name for his long time service to his community. When the old bridge was re-built his name was carried on in his name as well. He was known as Casper of Gaskets variety store. He died on December 28, 2008 at the age of 82. The bridge looks over the mill river which has a story all it's own. This is a guardrail cache. Easy find if not high traffic peak hours. Do not cross over guardrail. Placed by permission and approval from the mayor of taunton.
