Geocache Description:

We have now confirmed with the trail masters that the trail for this cache is indeed closed. Both our Fundy contact and us were not informed about this. This cache will be disabled until we figure out what to do with it.

If you are doing the coin challenge for 2018, you can still claim a coin even if you have not found this cache. The park has agreed to allow this for now

As you search for caches you will discover the beauty of Fundy National Park and also the indigenous history of the region that can be described as a place of intersection: here, Mi’kmaq, Wolastoqiyik, and Passamaquoddy peoples came together.

This year’s cache content was provided by the Metepenagiag Heritage park www.metpark.ca whose logo is featured on the 2018 trackable geocoin and passport.

Check for the cache card in each box to learn how the Fundy area, rich in fish, mammals, and plants, is central to indigenous people’s culture.

The Intertidal Bounty cache can be found along our newly opened access trail to Point Wolfe Beach. As you enjoy the view of the Point Wolfe Bay that this trail offers, you can imagine indigenous fishermen waiting for the low tide to uncover rich harvesting possibilities from clams to mussels to lobster. Please note that in recent times much of the Bay of Fundy has been closed for the harvesting of shell fish.

You can download the passport here.
