The dam that created Boston Pond. Created around 1860 by the Albany and Boston Mining Co to supply water to the nearby Albany and Boston Mining Co stamp mill. The company did not last long, taken early by the Peninsula co, and then in 1895 by the Franklin, which managed to profit and last. Come in from either the old RR line (now ATV/snowmobile trail) or from the boat landing. 5/8/18 jay2 had a cache here before that left so I replaced it in the same spot.
