Warning! The caches were easy to reach when placed. Some will become more difficult during blackberry season. Bring clippers to assist you. At some time the blackberries will be cut back and the cache east to access again.
Hayward Lake. We have been having fun exploring the area. It has been a while since you could do the trail around the lake so for now you can enjoy the Railway Trail on the west side. The forecast was to open up the rest of the trail in 2018 so we shall see.
Check out this website for the latest on the trail closures. https://www.bchydro.com/community/recreation_areas/hayward_lake.html
The Hayward Lake Reservoir Recreation Area offers a hiking trail to suit you. The 10-km Reservoir Trail connects with the 6-km Railway Trail to provide a scenic 16-km walk around Hayward Lake Reservoir. (Not right now it doesn't)
The Railway Trail, on the west side of the reservoir, was built to accommodate both hiking and biking. The Reservoir Trail on the east side is restricted to hiking only.
