Geocache Description:

TThis is a fairly small cache created out of an old Vitamin C bottle, hidden just off the road, so it could easily be a drive-by, especially as it's on a very quiet road under Sale Fell. There are some lovely views of Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite Lake (Note for pub quizzes; Q: "How many lakes are there in the Lake Distrct?" A: Only one - Bassenthwaite Lake, all the rest are Meres or Waters.") It contains the usual bits and bobs and a log book for signature, and there's a small painted pebble monster too (or at least there was when I posted this.

I've never been followed by sheep like this [see photos] - usually they just run away! The sidekick led them through green pastures while I took a photo. They must have thought we were going to feed them - it was lunchtime after all. What a noise they made 😮 The cache container has a very bright orange lid so please hide it carefully when replacing it, and watch out for nettles 😢
