Government Wharf Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, and it appears to have been abandoned, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

At this location there are some remains of the Government Wharf which was built in 1901 by Lawson & Lawson Shipbuilders from Frederickton. It was extended in 1915 which contained an upper deck and a storage shed. The builder of this extension was Alf Bolton. The wharf was an important link for the area as it was used by ocean going vessels to load and unload passengers and goods. It remained in use until 1953 when it was demolished.

Cache is magnetic.
