Geocache Description:

The Southeast Minnesota ATV Trail was built in the early 1990's. This trail runs from Country Valley Mobile Home Park in Stockton, MN to Altura, MN. The trail opens in May and closes in the fall. The trail runs through several valley's and ridgetops, along streams and pastureland.

If you've found the first cache, continue down the trail until you reach the posted coordinates. If you've brought your dog, there are several places along the way where Fido can get his feet wet in the creek that flows along the trail.  Please stay on the trail, but if you are on foot keep your ears open during the summer months for ATV's. There is plenty of room to step off the trail to let ATV's through.

If you aren't quite feeling up for a nice stroll or if you need a quick Park-and-Grab, parking is available near the posted coordinates.

Due to the tight valley, the weather, and who knows what else, the coordinates can be off as much as 60 feet at times. This is the only reason for the 2.5 difficult rating. Here’s a free hint... the cache is located in a short stretch of woods near the cul-de-sac on Hickory Lane. If you are on the trail and the coordinates take you beyond the short stretch of woods, you’ve gone too far.

ATV’s are not allowed on any part of the trail when the trail is closed. The trail opens on May 26th, 2018. You can still access the first 4 caches by foot year round.
