We are so lucky in Exeter that the University campus is freely open to all and offers an immense parkland oasis with many stunning views. As you approach this cache from the north-east you get great views across Taddiforde Brooke to the main administrative buildings and the hills of Exwick Wood beyond. The Two Counties Way and Exeter Green Circle pass this way, the route turning left into Velwell Road at the end of the path. Just in front of view before you turn left is a tantalising view through a gate, with the beginnings of a path that appears to lead downwards and westwards into open meadows. Alas, I've not found a sensible way through here to New North Road. (If you want to go through fields to get there then you will need to follow Taddiforde Brooke through the Lower Hoopern Valley from GC6V5RH.) It's a short and pleasant detour to pick this one up while doing the University of Exeter series nearby.
This micro cache is near one of the gates. It has to be, in all honesty! This is potentially a high muggle zone, very dependent on the time of day.
