The Zuidbroek district in Apeldoorn has a new solar park. This park has been supplying clean electricity since April 2018.
Een zonnepark is in feite een energiefabriek, waar met behulp van zonne-energie elektriciteit duurzaam wordt opgewekt. Het Zonnepark Apeldoorn bestaat uit 11.088 zonnepanelen, die gezamenlijk jaarlijks ca. 3.600 MWh aan energie zullen opwekken. Dat is genoeg om ongeveer 1.100 huishoudens van elektriciteit te voorzien. Daarnaast is het park het grootste park met half solar cells in Europa. Dit betekent dat het park hoge efficiëntie heeft en ook een goede opbrengst bij lage instraling kent.
