Star Trek first aired over 50 years ago. Created by Gene Roddenberry in 1964, the franchise has spawned numerous television series, films, comics, novels, games, and fan fiction...and now there's a Trek-themed GeoArt series in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
Tribbles (Polygeminus grex) are furry monopods originating from Iota Geminorum IV. They are parasites that reproduce quickly and can consume many times their own body weight in grain each day. Their keen sense of smell enables them to distinguish between various species and individuals. Tribbles emit a purr that produces a soothing effect on humans, which has fueled a market for them as pets. Both Scotty and Lorca have been shown keeping pet tribbles.
Tribbles have been central to an episode in at least 3 series: The Original Series, The Animated Series, and Deep Space Nine. Fill in the blanks with facts gleaned from these episodes to determine where you can find some 'safe' tribbles, that don't reproduce.
