Manito, My Home Town (MHT) Series
I lived in Manito from birth through my college years and couldn’t have asked for a better place to be raised. I’m proud that my dad built the house we lived in and now his grandson is going to live there. I’m also proud that January 9 (the date of her death in 2018), be proclaimed “Loma Burks Day” for her service to the community and her deep compassion for those in need.
Manito is a great town with wonderful Midwest values. Tons of fond memories in this place for sure and many more to come.
This series will take you around town to many of the places I knew as a kid and some new places as well. It was nearly a wide open slate and so I’ve tried to blanket the town with a wide variety of cache containers. They range from the typical bison tube, camo pill bottle types to several custom made, 3D printed caches. There are a few “evil” hides thrown in for a challenge here and there, but most are typical cache hides and not too tough. I hope you enjoy the series and can drop me a few favorite points for those you enjoy most. Happy hunting!
