Passing through Moerewa many a time on our way north we thought the map was rather empty in these parts so sort to remedy that.
This little town is known for the meat works which employ much of the population. GZ will bring you to a neglected park. This park and its impressive stone gate were erected in appreciation of Thomas Simson without whom the meat freezing industry in the north may not have existed.
At the end of Simson Park you will find the cache. For safety you will be better with a team or a tool but can be accessed alone at a stretch.
