Guess who turned five years old today?
I wanted to put out a hide to commemorate my five year years in the game. There's nothing special about the hide, except that it is reminiscent of my first find (GC3TB3R, Kid's C&D;). I found that one with my younger son (who lost interest in caching almost immediately!), but only after standing at GZ for a few long minutes, in fact, directly over the cache, saying "there's no room for a box here!" Ahhhh, but there was! Genius! lol
Although I quickly became less enamored with this kind of hide, I still fondly recall my initial excitement with each new discovery (e.g., later that first day, I was similarly dumbfounded by a LPC hide. I also remember thinking "Wow, four finds in one day. That's a lot."). I'm sure everyone has similar experiences.
I hope you enjoy the quick smiley and consider describing in your log your first time. I, and I'm sure others, would surely enjoy reading about it.
