Boy Scout Troop 218 Cache
This cache was placed with several boys from the troop. We had a group that hiked in with packs and camped at the last campground near this cache. The boys worked on the Geocache merit badge as well as many other things during this campout. We all had a great time on the hike.
The hike itself is not a bad one. You will hike over a hill but other than the one hill, the trail is fairly flat. It will be about a 9 1/2 mile round trip hike from the parking area. Terrain rating is based on distance. As with all ratings, your individual ratings may be different.
I took several readings on the coordinates. As you can see when you get there, There are lots of trees, so your GPS may bounce around a bit.
There is a trail going north from the cache and some mountain bikers were using the trail. I am not sure where that trail comes out though. It may be a closer hike in from there or maybe not.
