You are invited to a "Strawberry Moon" Evening Paddle on Hemlock Lake.
You will need to bring a light for your boat, a life jacket and a whistle per boating regulations. Bug spray is a good idea too.
Sunset will be at 8:54pm on 6/29. The official times of the event will be 7:30pm to 8pm, as these are the specific times I will be at the boat launch. Afterwards we can kayak as the sun sets, enjoying a moonlight paddle on Hemlock Lake. Biglbe and I will be picking local berries and making desserts for the event- strawberry shortcake and chocolate covered strawberry brownies. Please log a will attend if you plan to attend so we can make sure to have enough of the dessert for everyone.
I have one extra kayak and life vest, so contact me if you would like to use it. There are also rentals located nearby. Use google or contact me for details.
WHAT IS THE FULL STRAWBERRY MOON?
The June Full Moon is called the Full Strawberry Moon. This Full Moon got its name from the Algonquin tribes who knew it as a signal to gather the ripening fruit of wild strawberries.
