Come and bring your kayak for some clear water paddling fun! Meet up at 9AM sharp and we will wrap things up at 11AM. Log book will be on hand. Meet at Van Patten Woods, far north Lake County, off of Hwy41. Entrance is off Hwy 173.
Rain or shine....well, if it's miserable, we'll still meet and eat at nearby eateries.
I usually fish here for bass and sunnies, but still enjoy a paddle, checking out both halves of the lake.
For best results, be sure to post that you will attend early on. You must follow all LCFPD and IDNR rules. Bring water (to drink! the lake has plenty of "water"!, PFDs and of course, your boat.
There is a nice boat ramp and dock; easy access from parking. This time in the morning, there should be plenty of parking here; that's why I chose an early time, also to avoid the heat.
This lake has very clear water, so you can bring your polarized glasses to see down a few feet in most cases.
