This geocache is placed along the West Bend segment of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Please park in or near the designated parking area, located along Paradise Drive. You MAY NOT park at the Silverbrook Girl Scout Camp located to the north. It may look like a road on the map, but it's not and is a private drive. This geocache is placed for the 2018 West Bend Cache Ba$h. It is the 4th of 7 caches in the series of DISNEY MAGICAL CHARACTERS, with this cache highlighting the GENIE in the animated Disney film ALADDIN.
The best way to get to the cache is to start at the parking coordinates off of Paradise Road and hike the Ice Age Trail about .57 of a mile from the parking lot. Total hiking distance for all seven of the Disney Magic caches is approximately 1.5 miles each way, all along the Ice Age Trail.
Aladdin is the 31st Disney full-length animated feature film and the highest grossing movie of 1992. In the movie, Aladdin is a carefree youth who spends his time roaming the streets and must steal food in the marketplace in the city of Agrabah. Despite his thievery and poverty he maintains a warm heart and selfless nature. His adventures begin when he meets a young girl who happens to be Princess Jasmine, who is forced to be married by her wacky yet estranged father, the Sultan. Aladdin and Jasmine soon fall in love but she is arranged to be married to another. Aladdin's luck suddenly changes when he retrieves a magical lamp and a magic carpet from the Cave of Wonders. What he unwittingly gets from the lamp is a fun-loving Genie who must grant the possessor of the lamp three wishes.
With apologies to Aladdin and Jasmine - everyone knows that the Genie is the real star of this Disney classic. Robin Williams steals the show as the Genie's voice. With his incredible talent to do voices and celebrity impersonations, he's hilariously awesome and fantastic as the Genie, who seems to spout a joke-a-second. In fact, you have to pay close attention to hear Williams' lines because they come so fast and furious. Actually, at times they are too fast. You hardly have time to laugh or digest what he just said when another line hits you.
Magic, adventures, laughs, love, and memorable songs... this film has got it all, and the result is one of the best movies Disney has ever made!
