We are hoping you will come early, find some local geocaches and enjoy all Honesdale and our beautiful area has to offer. Just in the food area, we have multiple diners, pizzerias, Chinese, Mexican, Vietnamese, and French restaurants, coffee specialty shop, tea shop, bagel café, hot dog place, health food store, a restaurant in a historical hotel and 2, yes, 2 brewpubs that also serve food. We know how to eat over here. So, rather than pick one place to eat, everyone can indulge in the food of their choice and we will meet in the park at 1:00 pm.
If you are so inclined, come in your best Steampunk outfit or just an inventive hat or glasses. However, a costume is not required. If you do dress up, make sure you bring proper geocaching footwear. You never know where you will be trekking after.
For those who don’t know about Steampunk – It is a type of science fiction subculture that mixes the clothing styles of past generations (such as the Victorian era) with modern conveniences, creating inventions that look as if they could have been created generations ago. For instance, a cell phone would be powered by steam and contain clockwork parts rather than silicon and electrical wiring. If you still need help understanding, there is the World Wide Web.
Central Park in Honesdale is always well used. So, ALL dogs must be leashed while we are in town.
