These lovely little lakes did not have a name on the map but I found they reminded me of the lakes on the Kludahk; a beautiful trail to hike on the San Juan Ridge. We paused here on our journey from GCJPXC and took in the view and the silence.
This cache is placed in a remote area so all precautions like a good working 4x4 or or bike or a good pair of sturdy shoes or hiking boots will get you to this location. The road we took was grassy lined, green and beautiful. We needed to trim the odd over hanging branch. The surface was good except for the odd large rocks which have rolled from the hill. If walking, carry bear spray or travel in groups. Let someone know your plan and carry a satellite device like Inreach or Spot because there is no cell service. We drove in from the Glenora gate which is open on Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm. You need to sign in and out again. The gate may be closed during fire season. There is a maze of logging roads on Vancouver Island. Its up to you to figure out the correct ones to get here. Use your mapping skills or a gps!!!
