This geocache is one of a series that highlights the area Boy Scout Eagle projects that have been completed by Troop 43. This particular one actually describes 3 different projects that have been completed on the airport property.
Hanger restoration: Thomas S. completed significant hanger building remodeling including re-painting much of the outer surfaces of the building to bring it back to life!
Campsite construction/restoration: Owen I. lead the Scouts in a restoration project to improve the campsite area that the airport provides for its visitors. This included clearing of brush, installation of pavers around the fire pit area, and the construction of a covered firewood storage platform.
Runway marker restoration: Jeffery G. worked hard out in the open field to collect, clean, and re-paint the many yellow airport runway markers to improve the safety of the pilots and passengers during takeoff/landing/taxiing.
Notice too that there is also a "Little Free Library" located near this cache should you choose to check it out!
