Geocache Description:

Hello! This is my first geocache hide. I just wanted to do an easy one in the area that I live in. :) There is room for swag and travel bugs in here.

Hey congrats to TonNat for the first find :D Also Thank you for the feedback so far, it was my first hide so lots to learn still <3 X

The cache is hidden close to the gates of an old building originally built as Gledhow grove in the 1830's. The building was designed by an architect called John Clark. Later, in 1926 the building was opened as a hospital which specialized in fitting false limbs. It was run by the Ministry of pensions and helped former military personnal injured in the great war. It replaced the old military hospital at Becketts Park in Leeds.

There were two theatres, and x-ray department, massage and electrical department and a bacteriological library. With the start of the second world war the hospital was expanded eighted huted wards were opened in 1940. The nurses home was also expanded. The hospital passed from the Ministry of Pensions to the Ministry of Health in 1953.

I remember getting my jabs from a clinic in this hospital, must've been 28 years ago, it was very creepy!

Hope you enjoy :) x
