Join us for a kayaking adventure on Lake Wallenpaupack on Sunday, July 8, 2018. We will meet at the Ledgedale Recreation Area boat launch area around 9:00 AM. (Gates to the parking area open at 8:00 AM). We will have a meet and greet get together first, then around 9:30 AM we can launch our kayaks into the lake and head west into the Wallenpaupack Creek for a paddling adventure. Plans are to travel about 2-1/2 to 3 miles upstream, then turn around and paddle back towards Ledgedale. This part of the creek has calm waters with little to no current.
You can still attend the event even if you don't plan on joining us on the water. If you don't have a kayak, you can come and say hello and watch us paddle off. If you don't have a kayak and would like to join us, they do rent kayaks here at the marina for an extra fee. The boat launch is free for non-motorized boats (kayaks and canoes included). Anyone using a motorized boat would have to pay an additional fee.
